Minecraft V. 1.20

As expected, Minecraft 1.20 is the last major Minecraft update to arrive. In addition to all the new features, such as public poll winners, new biomes, new blocks and archaeology, Minecraft 1.20 also has its own name: according to Mojang, Minecraft 1.20 is about “tricks and stories” and “focuses on storytelling and world building”. Better still, we’ll soon be able to test new features and titles.

Mojang was quick to explain that the themes chosen for Update 1.20 are “self-expression, creativity and intrinsic motivation”. We heard a lot about this last theme in our 2022 interview with Minecraft game director Agnes Larsson and game designer Nir Vaknin. According to them, they didn’t want Minecraft to be boring. They wanted players to continue playing and creating new worlds because they felt inspired, not because they had to.

Unsurprisingly, some of the new features in version 1.20 are construction-related, such as new aesthetic blocks and functional libraries. It’s also possible to explore and adventure with camels and new archaeology in Minecraft’s wild world.

Once the feature list was completed and the details finalized, it became clear what we could expect from Minecraft 1.20. Here are all the important details about this new update:

When Is Minecraft 1.20’s Release Date

Minecraft 1.20 has been released as a Trails and Stories update. This is the usual list of pre-releases and immediate releases that will be available from October 2022. The wait for archaeology and other new features is over.

All the Minecraft 1.20’s New Blocks

All the new blocks in Minecraft 1.20 focus on building customization and storytelling with new discoveries and modifications. New types of bamboo and cherry trees, functional carved shelves, vases and hanging trays are designed to help you discover and tell your own stories.

  • Hanging trays: wall-hung, ceiling-hung and narrow trays.
  • Bamboo and wood: a complete range of bamboo beams, including doors, stairs, canopies and shelves.
  • Rafts: bamboo boats. A flat raft can be walked on.
  • Bamboo mosaic: a new type of decorative bamboo block.
  • Carved bookcase: a functional bookcase holding six books.
  • Suspicious sand: next to the desert temple, you can use the new “brush” tool to clean it and find pottery shards, bones and sniper eggs.
  • Cherry tree: a magnificent block of pink wood in the new cherry tree biome.
  • Decorative vases: you can collect fragments found during archaeological digs to create beautiful narrative vases for decoration.

What makes this skeleton shelf particularly interesting is the red stone signal function: depending on the number of cards on this shelf, a red stone signal can be emitted to open an interesting secret door.According to Mojang, this shelf features an inventory interface. This means you can click on a card with your hand to place it on the shelf, or point to a card with an X and click with your hand to pick it up.

The Minecraft 1.20 New Mobs Are The Camel And Sniffer

The new desert mount chosen by Mojang is the Minecraft Camel, and the winner of last year’s community vote is the Minecraft Spy.

Camels can be found in desert villages and can walk, stand up and move their ears. They’re new horsemen, and their best feature is that they can be ridden by two players. This means they can lead their companions around the base without having to provide two different riding animals. Camels are also unique in that they roll horizontally, enabling them to cross canyons.

Minecraft 1.20 – Snipers, a gang of muscular men with big yellow noses, can be found in villages and appear to be the same size as a farmer.

The Snipers are an extinct gang in the world above and must be resurrected by finding their eggs in archaeology. It’s very large, turtle-shaped, with a muscular back and a big pinkish-yellow nose. After hatching, the lark uses its large yellow nose to pluck old seeds from the ground and plant them.

Minecraft 1.20 Archeology Feature

Archaeology was originally announced for 2020 with Minecraft 1.17’s Caves and Rocks update, but was eventually delayed with the pack also included in Minecraft 1.17. Today, Mojang has finally brought back Archaeology with the release of version 1.20.

You’ll find a new type of sand called “suspicious sand” near desert temples. Use the new brush to sweep up the suspect sand and find pottery shards, tools, hidden bones and the tastiest consolation prize imaginable: sumac eggs.

If you strain your eyes, you may even find traces of ruins. If you look for debris along the trail, you may find remnants of ancient settlements.

Minecraft 1.20 New Biome | Cherry Blossoms

Initially, I wasn’t expecting a new biome, but I was surprised by the cherry blossom biome announced in Minecraft Update 1.20.

These beautiful new trees will fill the skyline with gorgeous pink” – said Mojang. “Of course, these new trees can be shared to create a complete tree set, including hanging signs and newly introduced cherry buds, and more of these beautiful pink trees can be planted.”

Pigs, sheep and bees can also be observed in this biotope. Bees are attracted by flowers and can hide under branches. No doubt there are plenty of creeping birds hiding in the branches, admiring the flowers and snuggling up to you.

Minecraft 1.20 Introduces Armor Cutting

Version 1.20 of William & Minecraft introduces armor cutting, allowing you to customize all parts of your armor with colors. You can customize your armor by finding a forge pattern in the world and sending it to a blacksmith. If you want a more refined look, you can steal models from neighboring villages.

If you’ve ever complained about the monotony of the armor covering your clothes, this update is exactly what you need to make the lower armor less dull, with Mojang using gold as an example of what looks good on a king.

Are Bundles In Minecraft 1.20

Introduced in October 2020, the pack was a simple item that allowed you to store multiple item types in the same inventory room. Since then, the pack has been delayed in updates 1.17 and 1.18 and appeared as an experimental feature that was removed before its official release.
