First of all, sit in Padmasana or Siddhasana.

- Now inhale slowly through both nostrils with a rhythm, till the breath is completely filled in the lungs.
- While breathing through both the nostrils try to produce the sound of ‘O’ by vibrating the thyroid part of the neck. This sound should be light and uniform.
- Try to expand your chest as you inhale and hold the breath in for as long as you can hold it.
- Now close the right nostril with the right thumb and exhale slowly through the left nostril.
- Instead of exhaling through the left nostril, you can also exhale slowly through both nostrils.
- It was one cycle, now you do 10 cycles like this.
